Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya stated that there is currently a shortage of 40,000 teachers across the country, and that the government expects to recruit a certain number of the required vacancies by the end of this year.

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya attended the finale of the inter-school knockout rugby tournament for the President’s Trophy between Isipathana College, Colombo and Trinity College, Kandy, held today (18 May) at the Royal College Sports Complex in Colombo.
